Soil Solution to Climate Problems
This week I watched a short video on YouTube about the impact soil has to our climate. One key learning that I found out was that soil contains a lot of Carbon. When soil is damaged the CO2 goes up to the atmosphere which creates more green house gases in the atmosphere causing warming and could lead to ocean acidification. Not only are we harming our environment by emitting CO2 through fuel emissions but we are also adding more CO2 through soil erosion. A couple of ways we can help is by, planting more variable crops, creating compost piles and having organized grazing of animals. To learn more you can click the link on the bottom of the post.
